Personal Statement:

 

Dr. Ferguson graduated with a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi. She is currently working in private practice with adults, adolescents, and couples with a variety of concerns. Her approach to therapy is integrative, with an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal and emotion-focused perspectives. Additional tools are used as needed, such as EMDR (Eye Movement Densitization and Reprocessing), the BAUD (Bio-Acoustical Utilization Device), mindfulness and meditation. Dr. Ferguson’s previous clinical experience has taken place in university counseling and career centers, a drug and alcohol treatment center for women and with children and adolescents in an inpatient hospital setting. She has been in private practice since 2009.
