Personal Statement:

Ms. Lillian Hood completed both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at UNC-Wilmington, where her training focused on the use of cognitive-behavioral and acceptance and commitment therapies. Since the completion of that training in 2009, she has pursued specialized training in order to better serve patients who have experienced trauma. This includes completing prolonged-exposure therapy training with Dr. Edna Foa at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety with the University of Pennsylvania. Her specializations include working with individuals with various forms of anxiety, trauma, and addiction. In providing services to patients, It is important to Lillian to use evidence-based practices, to empower individuals, and to use humor to provide effective treatment.
